Neck Pain Is Not Just a Posture Problem
Maybe you’ve been told to “sit up straighter” or “stretch more,” but neck pain isn’t only about posture. It often stems from a mix of mobility limitations, muscle imbalances, stress, and even poor movement habits during workouts or daily tasks.
That tight, pinching, or burning sensation in your neck could be due to stiff joints, overactive muscles, or nerve irritation from poor spinal alignment. We help you figure out what’s really going on so you can stop guessing and start moving better.
At RISE, we use hands-on care, movement retraining, and strength programming to give your neck lasting support.

Common Questions About Neck Pain Treatment
What causes neck pain even when I’m not working out?
Daily stress, screen time, and poor breathing mechanics can all lead to chronic neck tension, even when you’re not training.
Your body holds onto this tension until the system is retrained. We look at everything from your posture to your shoulder function and breathing to help release the pressure.
Will treatment involve cracking or manipulation?
Not necessarily. Some clients benefit from joint mobilization, but we never do anything without your input and comfort.
We combine manual therapy with corrective movement to create lasting changes, not just quick fixes
Can neck pain cause headaches or shoulder pain?
Yes. Irritation of the upper cervical spine or tension in surrounding muscles often refers pain to the head, shoulders, or even down the arm.
We identify where your symptoms start and create a plan to resolve them.
How soon will I feel relief?
Most clients feel some level of relief within the first 1–2 sessions. Deeper mobility and strength changes take a bit longer, but we give you tools and strategies to feel better immediately while working on long-term improvement.
Do I need imaging or a referral to start?
No referral is needed in Colorado. You can start with us directly, and if we believe imaging is needed, we’ll help coordinate that. Most of the time, physical therapy is the fastest and most effective first step.
Feel Better, Starting Today
You don’t need to push through neck pain or depend on temporary relief. You deserve a plan that gets to the root of the issue.
At RISE, we help active adults, professionals, and athletes across Denver move with less pain and more confidence.
