Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)

Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT)

Dr. Jessica “JJ” Johnson is an Arizona native who relocated to Colorado in 2024 to escape the desert heat and embrace the mountains. A former Division I collegiate soccer player, JJ’s own athletic career was cut short by injury—an experience that fueled her passion for physical therapy and helping others return to the activities they love.

Dr. Johnson is a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) with advanced training in manual therapy, clinical reasoning, and long-term client management. Her primary areas of expertise include differential diagnosis, manual therapy interventions, therapeutic exercise design, and integration of evidence-based practice into individualized treatment strategies.

As a clinician, JJ combines a deep knowledge of the musculoskeletal system with a lifelong devotion to human physiology, emphasizing clinical reasoning, hands-on techniques, and client-centered care. Guided by Geoffrey Maitland’s clinical reasoning model, Dr. Johnson has extensive training across a variety of approaches, including Kaltenborn-Evjenth, Australian manual therapy, Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT), and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). Her philosophy centers on uniting technical expertise with real-time observation and clinical insight to deliver precise, innovative, and highly personalized treatment.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys woodworking and exploring new places with her loyal sidekick, Pinto the dog—often joined by her partner, Robert. Curious and open-minded by nature, she values the mindful work required to maintain the human body and deeply appreciates the mentors who have shaped her professional journey.
